MetaGer is developed and run by SUMA-EV - Association for Free Access to Knowledge. We are a non-profit association from Hannover that advocates free access to knowledge on the Internet.

For us, free access to knowledge means: Commercial and political interests must not have any influence on Internet content - especially on the results of search engines. The search for information should not take place in a filter bubble; all information is available to every user at all times.

For this reason we develop and operate the MetaGer search engine . The protection of privacy is a key concern of ours. We do not save (meta) data where it is not absolutely necessary for operation. We advocate an open society in which it is possible to move around in the digital world without snooping.

You can rely on it: MetaGer enables open, transparent Internet searches, and there is a guarantee for this. Because our promise is verifiable for everyone through our free software . We have always only processed the data that is absolutely necessary to operate our services. Data protection is standard with us. We do not operate profiling - i.e. the automatic creation of user profiles.
